Penny Press

For all you pressed penny collectors out there, we are delighted to report that the Northwest Carriage Museum is home to a Penny Press machine, so you can take a little piece of the museum home in your pocket! Our Penny Press has four fun different designs to choose from, each one with a different vehicle from our collection. Choose between the Stagecoach, the Studebaker Buggy, the Shelburne Landau (featured in Gone with the Wind), and the Vienna Hearse. Each penny has a two-sided design, with the back showing our name and our beautiful C-Spring Victoria—the vehicle featured in our logo. Each pressed penny costs just $.75, plus the penny you'd like to press. If you're a new and eager collector, or you're a seasoned collector with a collection so large that it's bursting out of your ears, we also sell a "Penny Passport" in our gift shop so you can store and display your pressed penny collection with pride!

OUR MISSION The Northwest Carriage Museum preserves, maintains, and interprets the collection of horse-drawn vehicles and period artifacts of the 19th Century. We are home to over sixty beautiful horse-drawn vehicles including carriages, buggies, wagons and sleighs, and more than a thousand historical artifacts that help bring history to life and create a cultural experience. We are dedicated to keeping history alive for future generations, educating about horse-drawn transportation, restoration, and conservation of the vehicles, and supporting our local community.
